This page provides information and updates about access to services at the Child and Family Health Service during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS) acknowledges this is a challenging time for many families. We want to assure families that CAFHS will continue to provide free support to all children aged 0-5 years.

Information about our services during COVID-19

  • Services will be provided by both telehealth and face-to-face consultations in the family home or at one of our clinic locations.
  • Any face-to-face consultations will be through a pre-booked appointment process.
  • Families who receive face-to face support can expect the health clinicians to wear masks. please let us know prior to your appointment so additional precautions can be considered.

For telephone support please call the Parent Helpline on 1300 364 100 at any time, 7 days a week.

For expert medical advice, assessment and support for children aged 6 months to 18 years with non-life threatening conditions, call the Child and Adolescent Virtual Urgent Care Service. Find out more on the Women’s and Children’s Hospital website.
