The Child and Family Health Service acknowledges Aboriginal people as the First Peoples and Traditional Custodians of Country throughout South Australia. We acknowledge and respect their ongoing and deep spiritual connection and relationship to land, air, sea, waters, community and country. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this website may contain images, voices and names of people who have passed away.

CaFHS Governance

The Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS) is a statewide primary health service of the Women's and Children's Health Network providing a range of health and development services to children from birth to 5 years.

CaFHS works in partnership with families, other key services and the community to achieve the following outcomes:

  • child development is consistent with milestones
  • parents are able to raise children in safe and nurturing environments
  • effective monitoring of child health and wellbeing in South Australia.

We aim to provide a positive, welcoming and enriching environment where clients and staff are valued. We are committed to encouraging innovation and creativity, partnering and working in collaboration; showing respect for each other; acting with integrity and being accountable for our actions. These values govern our behaviour and interactions with our clients, partners and each other.
